Spring Reboot: The 21-day Keto Soup Cleanse. Ketosis and fasting have taken the planet by storm, and the proven benefits just keep on piling up. One of the predominant pathways that really drives the benefits of ketosis and fasting is called autophagy. Autophagy is the process by which the body (in a fat burning state) begins to eat its own tissue. Intelligently, this gets rid of damaged or malfunctioning cells first. In this time, the body also creates stem cells. Stem cells are then used to replace the tissue with new, thriving tissue.
Spring Reboot: The 21 Day Keto Soup Cleanse
I’ve spoken in depth about the benefits of water-only fasting, as well as ketosis, and of bone broth… but I also understand that for many people it can be difficult to incorporate these somewhat drastic new habits and turn them into a lifestyle. Before delving into the keto soup cleanse, let’s quickly go over the principles of ketosis, and the benefits of bone broth.
Keto Soup Cleanse: The Principles Of Keto include-
- Carbohydrate restriction (generally below 50 digestible grams per day or less)
- Restrict protein to moderate levels
- Eat enough fat to feel satisfied
- Avoid snacking when not hungry
- Keto often include intermittent fasting (eating in a maximum 12-hour window per day)
Keto Soup Cleanse: Bone Broth and Fasting
Bone broth should be a staple in any healthy diet but is particularly great for a keto soup cleanse because of how many nutrients you’re getting with virtually no carbohydrates. Because it is low calorie and nutrient rich, keto soup also makes the perfect addition to a fasting-mimicking diet.
Benefits Of Keto Soup (made with bone broth base)
- highly nutritious
- helps protect and repair joint
- fight osteoarthritis
- reduce inflammation
- supports a healthy sleep
- supports weight loss goals
Making a bone broth base requires the slow-simmering of organic, pasture raised bones so that all the nutrients (minerals, amino acids, etc) are drawn out into the water to make a rich flavorful broth. Other ingredients can be added (like herbs, spices, and vegetables) to increase the nutritional density and flavor as well. Either way, the slow simmer of a homemade broth requires 20+ hours, which is often inconvenient enough to prevent most people from doing it regularly.
The Simple Solution: Bone Broth Based Keto Soups!
I’ve shared my love for Kettle & Fire’s organic bone broths in the past because they are truly making the best broth on the market. Not only are their broths organic and made using absolutely no nasty ingredients or preservatives, but they are actually shelf stable! This high quality, shelf-stable broth makes incorporating this liquid gold into your daily life incredibly easy. But Kettle & Fire haven’t stopped there, because their latest innovation is taking convenience, quality, and flavor to a whole new level with keto soups.
The Kettle & Fire Keto Soups are made using their incredible organic broth as a base to make delicious new soups. These keto friendly soups are low carb, high flavor, and might be the key to a sustainable keto or fasting mimicking diet for all the busy people out there.
Bone broth keto soups offer a more filling meal than broth alone and can be made in large batches for convenient eating throughout the week. The flavor possibilities are endless… We have a recipe to get you inspired!

I make my home made bone broth weekly and love it! My question is whether this has carbs in it or not. I use one onion in it for flavor. Bones (obviously): of various kinds. That changes week to week. Sea salt, peppercorns, ACV, bay leaves, sometimes a clove or two of garlic. Fresh water. That’s it. The reason I ask about the carbs is because when I punch in bone broth in any form on Fitday.com, it says it has like 3 carbs per cup and I just can’t (and don’t want to) believe that’s true! Can you help me out? Thanks.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. As long as you’re straining the onion solids out, you’re not getting many carbs.
How can vegans do a keto soup fast.
you can do veggie broth with some coconut or olive oil added. You won’t get the gut healing benefits of the collagen in the bone broth, though.
Hi,
I have heard Dr. Pompa talk about lead in bones.
Is this an issue with consuming bone broth especially on a regular basis?
Thank you.
not a problem as long as it’s grass fed and organic.

I’m thoroughly confused! The Kettle and Fire website has a 21 day Bone Broth diet, but I’m supposed to eat Paleo during the diet. The above article contains a ton of excellent information, but doesn’t tell HOW to do the 21 day Keto Soup Cleanse. So my questions are:
1. How many times a day do I eat the Keto soup?
2. What do I have on my 2 fasting days?
3. What supplements should I take or not take?
Thank You!
Eat when hungry. Soup 3x a day is fine. You can go easy or stop your supplements. Fasting days drink lots of water and make sure you’re getting enough electrolytes.
Do you just drink the soup 3X a day with no food for 5 days and then water fast for 2 days on the 21 day fast?
That’s an option for sure. You can customize the fast so it works for you.
With zero carbs, will there be enough energy for those who train (paddling/rowing) 6 days a week? Or not recommended?
Once you’re fat adapted, you’ll have plenty of energy! Be sure to replenish your glycogen stores with 1 feast day a week (after the cleanse), and this is not ZERO carb, just very low carb. 🙂
Go easy on high intensity exercise while you’re still working to become fat adapted.
